I have visited Donut King for almost two years on and off. In the pat 6 months I have noticed a rapid decline. Intialily just quality, then I became gravely concerned when I first stopped in maybe 4-5 months ago. When walking in they used to have to the left of the Donut display a heated display where they kept their breakfast sandwiches and sausage rolls. Essentially a place to store any perishable products prepared and ready to be served that needed to stay hot. Well 4-5 months ago I noticed this display was empty and off and products containing cooked meats and eggs were being stored in the display case with no temperature regulation. Having 7 years of restaurant management experience this immediate concerned me. I inquired as to why they weren't using the case anymore. The employee said it was just broken and it should be working in no time. Still not acceptable as I promise you the products I ordered were not hot at all, but they did offer to stick them in the microwave... So I visited last month, now the case was missing entirely! Instead they've installed a second microwave and it has become customary policy to store these items that must remain out of the danger zone in a case with common pastries and just ask if you want it to be warmed up when you buy it. That's so incredibly dangerous! Sausage and egg products! I was even more shocked that this wasn't caught on the last health inspection that took place only a month or so ago! After witnessing the flies also co-mingling with all the food in the display case I think I am going to call t quits! I hope you can connect with the owner and hopefully they can rectify this situation as this is a major food safety concern.
