Complaint
On Saturday July 18th while visiting the Red Zone in Diamondhead, MS, we were served our hamburger. We asked for an additional plate as we were sharing the hamburger and when we picked up the burger to place on the extra plate and cut it, a baby roach was crawling around under the where the burger was sitting on the original plate. The mother of my friend that was with us got the attention of the waitress at that time another waitress walked over and both of them saw the live roach. They handled it professionally and adjusted our meal ticket. The manager was informed of the situation. On Sunday August 2, 2015 someone unknown to me had posted on facebook that they had just gotten home from The Red Zone and found a dead roach in their childs to go cup. Clearly this is a serious issue that mgmt is not handling. The report from the Health Dept on 7/7/15 states they were in compliance as a re check because of insects, but only 11 days later is when we found a roach in our food and then 2 weeks later a child had a dead roach in their cup.

InvestigationHistory
Visited facility. They are currently under a pest control plan where they have professional pest control for roaches every week. The owner stated the weekly treatments will continue until problem is eradicated. He will also remove unnecessary items. Changing owners so I will meet with new owners to see if other items can be removed to help eliminate harborage areas. During the inspection, I did not see any live roaches in the facility.
