Caller reported that her husband ate a 5 piece box of chicken around lunchtime on 7/1/19. He started to feel bad a few hours later and then experienced diarrhea, vomiting, and chills 5 to 6 hours later. Caller reported that her husband went to the emergency room and that salmonella was cultured from a stool sample. His co-worker also ate a 5 piece chicken box at the same time and experienced no symptoms.

Encouraged pic to monitor and check the cooking temperature for chicken to meet the minimum 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Employees to wash hands when changing gloves and when going from raw food to ready to eat food.
