Complaint
My husband and I ate at McAllister’s Deli in Wiggins today. We were very disappointed in the filthy dining room. The dining room floor looked like it hasn’t been mopped or the tables moved to get the trash under the table legs in a very long time. The chairs, napkin holders on the table and short walls haven’t been dusted as well in a very long time. We also saw that there were two ceiling tiles missing over the drink dispenser at the front counter were you order your food. We also observed a girl at the pick up window flipping her hair repeatedly and then handling food. I also heard a lady at a nearby table tell an employee that she found hair in her salad. I am not one to complain but I really think this restaurant needs attention. Please let me know how this will be handled.

InvestigationHistory
In reference to complaint: Spoke to manager about complaint and conducted a complete inspection of facility. Manager stated that deep cleaning of tables and walls in dining room is done 3 times per week. Dining area did not appear to be dirty and it was right after a lunch rush. Tiles are missing because of a roof leak. Land lord of facility has been repeatedly asked to repair leak. Will contact him after inspection. Facility is going to pay to have roof repaired so there is no more leaking and will then seek reimbursement. Tiles will be replaced at that time. This area is not directly above drink area where any contamination could occur, but out in dining area where garbage is disposed of and where customers order. During inspection all employees' hair was restrained. The employees up front had hair restrained in tight short ponytails. All employees in the back prepping food had hairnets or hats on to restrain hair. Recommend manager to go over hygiene and touching hair with all employees on all shifts.
