Division of Epidemiology received a call from an individual who states he consumed a Quarter Pounder from McDonald's on Hwy 26 in Wiggins, Ms. on Saturday 10/19/24. He stated he was diagnosed and treated for food poisoning.

Facility stopped selling quarter pounders on Tuesday 10/22/24. All the meat was picked up and removed from facility earlier today. There is none left in facility. Manager stated that no other complaints have been received. When asked about sick workers and policy, she stated that no employees have reported any symptoms of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or fever, or have called out with sickness. Cook temps of the regular burgers during inspection were 167 and higher. All hot holding was above 150 degrees. Cold holding was below 41 degrees. Sanitizers were all 50-100 ppm chlorine. * Need to watch time stickers on lettuce and cheese on table/sandwich prep area. * Make sure all employees are washing hands between glove changes.
