Upon our arrival to this specific Waffle House, my brother and I were seated at a table that already appeared to be unclean. When I put my elbows on said table, I came to the realization that it was covered with some sort of syrupy substance. In addition to this, the menus were also stuck to the table. It was evident to us that the table had not been cleaned beforehand, and after looking at the other tables around us, it was clear that they weren't clean either. After making note of this to our server, she took what appeared to be a dirty rag and proceeded to wipe our filthy table down. After picking my menu up and placing it back in its holder, I was absolutely repulsed to witness that there was a myriad of black ants crawling all over the top of our table. In shock, I told our server, who then advised us to move to another table. My brother and I, being exceptionally hungry, complied with her order and switched seats to another booth that was in close proximity to our ant infested one. Upon moving, I looked at our new table and realized that, it too, was covered with the foul insects. The staff seemed rather unconcerned about this, and noticing that our food was almost ready, we found another table at the opposite end of the restaurant. In asking a cook to clean this new table, he pulled out another dirty rag and wiped our table down. Finally, our food came to us, and we proceeded to eat as quickly as possible so that we could get the heck out of there. After taking further note of our surroundings, I noticed that, in addition to the ants, there were many flies crawling around on the walls. Asking for the tab, our server gave us a full priced bill. Quite honestly, I was shocked by this. Seeing as to how there was no reason in attempting to argue with this Waffle Houses' incoherent and incompetent staff, I paid the bill and left. However, as we were leaving, I observed something which later compelled me to forcefully regurgitate my meal once I arrived back home... A man was literally sucking the contents out of a ketchup bottle. There are few times when I have ever been more sickened throughout the course of my life. In summation, it is with great sadness in which I must report this to you. Up until our last visit to Waffle House, I was always a fan of eating there. Now, however, I have never felt more antipathy towards a restaurant in regards to their poor sanitary practices, and the staffs overall disdain towards us in trying to resolve this matter. I am gravely concerned why this establishment received an "A" for its health report. This heinous experience truly makes me reconsider whether any restaurant in Mississippi is truly sanitary. Sincerely, Ryan K.
