On Sunday, July 31, 2001, I went to El Saltillo Mexican Restauran,3100 Bienville Blvd # 78, Ocean Springs, Mississippi. During my visit I received by far the WORST customer service I have EVER experienced. When we walked into the restaurant we were seated, and forgot about. Twenty minutes later the waitress finally came to take our order. I ordered a cheese quesadilla and chicken fajitas, the order came and I noticed the cheese quesadilla was a chiken quesadilla ( I let that one go), I fixed a fajita and ate it! When I went to fix my second fajita I noticed there was shrimp in the skillet, I am highly allergic to shellfish. I called the waitress over to let her know, her response was "its just one". I told her that didn't matter, she informed me they cooked everything on the same grill (I believe this is a health code violation, the menu contains no warning.) I received no apology, wasn't asked if they could get me something else, I was offered a 5 dollar discount! I asked to speak to a manager. I said I cannot eat it and will not eat it, therefore, I wasn't paying for it! The lights were turned off on us, all the workers were smoking (another health code violation), and when told the man at the register was the "owner" of the business I stopped to talk to him. He told me to leave and not to come back he said "if you were allergic to shellfish you die and go boom and clapped his hands, I asked for a business card he refused to give me one, and once again I was told to leave and not come back, I was also told f*** you and adios! I will never go back to this restaurant and will(and have) told many others of my experience!

InvestigationHistory
I called and spoke to Manager on duty and advised him that if someone states they are allergic to any food item to make sure they cook in a separate pan or advise them that they are all cooked together. As far as the employees smoking... All smoking must be done outside the kitchen, either in the smoking section of the dining room or out the back door. All employees must wash their hands before returning to work.
