CUSTOMER WENT IN TO STORE ON 09/02/11 AROUND 3:30 P.M., WHILE SHOPPING SHE LOOKED IN THE 1ST COOLER AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE, LOOKED IN THE 2ND COOLER (CONTAINED EGGS, BACON, ETC) AND SAW A RAT EATING ON A PACK OF BACON...RAT DID NOT LEAVE EVEN WITH HER STANDING THERE AND WHEN OTHER CUSTOMERS CAME IN...CUSTOMER CALLED BACK TO LET US KNOW THAT THIS WAS NOT A MOUSE, THIS WAS A VERY LARGE RAT...

Called facility and talked with owner. He acknowledged that there was a rat and he called Southern pest to treat facility. We confirmed with Southern Pest that they had treated one time and they sent us a copy of the receipt. Will follow up with site visit.
