I'm a Infection Control Nurse and observed a serious issue occurring within a Chilli's Bar and Grill restaurant. Yesterday my daughter and I sat inside of Chilli's Bar and Grill located in Olive Branch, MS waiting for our order. We observed one of your waitress take two dirty glasses off a table and then took them behind the bar. She then took both glasses and just dipped them in a sink of water never scrubbing them with a towel or brush and placed them upside down to dry off to the side to be used for the next patron. This is a serious infection control issue because those improperly cleaned glasses could have obtained Herpes, Hepatitis, and other Contagious Bacteria in which someone and their child could come in contact with. I'm also sending this email to the local authorities such as the Health Department and the Local News Station to investigate this issue. After what I observed now I know why the dishes and silverware always look dirty I assumed it was just spots from a dishwasher but now I see the dishes just aren't cleaned.

InvestigationHistory
At time of inspection on today, I (inspector)was unable to observe any washing of dishes at the bar area (no patrons at the bar area);however, the 3 compartment sink at the bar area was properly set up and supplied (wash, rinse, sanitize waters). Information (documentation) was left at the facility concerning mechanical and manual warewashing/dishwashing. The manager was told via written documentation to train and emphasize to all employees that dishware/glassware must be properly cleaned and sanitized.
