Employees were serving Tea out of large red buckets. Were using a cup and their bare hands dipping it into the bucket to pour into customers cups. I have photos and audio recordings to prove what is happening. Mainly seems to be late night/early am shift. I can send media at your request. I am also working with Denham Law Firm on the issue because we had a bug and hair and looked like other debris in our teas, most likely due to the open bucket sitting in the back by the drive through window. The attorney has requested a confirmation from the Health Department if possible along with the evidence I have previously presented to them. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

InvestigationHistory
Responded to complaint of bug and debris in tea an d using bare hands to dip cups from red buckets at drive thru. Spoke to manager and she went over procedures of making and serving tea. 1.) bag of sugar and a pot of hot water is placed in to a cleaned and sanitized red food grade bucket. (buckets are cleaned and sanitized every 4 hours) 2.) a tea bag is placed into Bunn Omatic and brewing begins, dispensing into bucket of sugar/water mixture. 3.) Once brewed ice in placed into bucket up to a predetermined finish line and then product is capped and labled. To serve 1.) Employee must wear blue glove and bucket is poured into service urns for dispensing 2.) Service urns are cleaned and sanitized twice a day . > Watched video with Manager from 11PM- 5:30 AM for drive thru and only once did they refill the urn at 1:57AM and no dipping was observed. What was observed was that manager was not wearing blue gloves but did not come in contact with the product. Will contact complainant for more information. Called and spoke to complainant for more information on complaint. the complainant stated that the incident occurred 12-29-2013 between 3AM and 5AM. The complainant stated that he observed this from the back table by the first drive thru; they had cups set up and were dipping cups directly into bucket. He also stated that he did have video and recorded the incident. Received picture of red bucket from drive thru and an audio with McDonalds Employee confirming that tea was in the bucket. Spoke to manager of facility and she was investigating issue and I will follow up on Monday, 1/06/14. 01/06/2014 Spoke to GM who stated she had reviewed all videotaping from that periods, 12/29/2013 3AM-5AM, and did not see where any employees dipped tea from the bucket. However, she did speak with the manager on duty at that time and advised that dipping directly from the bucket was against McDonald's procedure and she disciplined and re-trained staff to prevent it from happening in the future. No follow up was necessary
