InvestigationHistory
Phoned the store spoke the manager in charge at the time and she is aware but did not know details surrounding the complaint. She stated that she will contact the temporary GM (In place until the permanent GM comes back) and have her to return the call. 6/25/2014 The Temporary GM called back and stated that the normal practice for any food prep is with the wear of gloves. The apples are cooked from the can and the crust is frozen. She stated that the item shown by the customer didn't resemble a finger nail but a small foreign matter. She stated that she offered the customer more food, money back, and apologized. She's not sure how the item got into cobbler. She stated that she will readvise the employee who prepared the cobbler and reinforce food safety. Inspector advised to ensure ALL employees are mindful about food safety and about the wear of real or fake nails and ensure they are in compliance with Health dept and Jerry Lee's standards. Will continue to observe during the next inspection.
