I went with a party of four to this restaurant last Thursday for lunch. All but one of us had a meal that contained some amount of ground beef. By late Thursday evening/early Friday morning the 3 that had meat were all sick. Fever, chills, vomiting, diarrhea. As of today, Saturday evening, I am still recovering as are the other two. I worked my way through college and law school working in restaurants so I'm generally very forgiving of all aspects of the restaurant industry. That being said.. This place needs a surprise inspection for cooler temps and/or meat being left out. I believe we were the first customers that day and arrived at 11:00 a.m.

InvestigationHistory
Findings: observed ground-beef in cooler dated 8/24/14 at 39 degrees F also as a reference - observed tomatoes at 39 degrees F and cooked pork at 39 degree F. Manager stated: for a normal week ground-beef is cooked on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday. After cooking a 2-3 day supply of the ground-beef the product is put into a food grade plastic container and is placed into a cold water bath (41 degrees F) inside of the walk-in cooler and product is stirred every 30 minutes until the temperature of the cooked ground beef falls to 70 degrees F. The product is then covered/labeled and date marked. When the cold ground-beef product is prepped for service a portion is dipped into a pan and placed into the oven where the mixture is heated to boiling it is then placed on to the steam tables and held at or above 135 degrees F. until served. The manager produced all guest ticket for 8/21/14. The first ticket was paid at 11:05 am (this was a party of 2) both orders were tacos and may have contained ground-beef. The second ticket was paid at 11:42 (this was a party of 2) both ordered Mexican pizza which contains no ground beef. No tickets resembled the time frame the food was ordered or the number of persons in the party as described in the complaint.
