Customer called and complained that she ordered a vegetable plate with Brussels sprouts and cabbage. When opening the container she noticed that the food had rat feces in both plates. She was also told that they have a rat problem and that the pest control was there on yesterday.

InvestigationHistory
Observed frozen Brussels Sprouts from the same box that the product served on the day of the complaint came. No foreign matter was noticed in the product. Brussels Sprouts are cooked in approved clean pots which are rinsed with quaternary ammonium sanitizing solution prior to being used - the product is cooked to a rapid boil. There were no cabbage on the line that day, However, when used cabbage is obtained from the produce department of Vowell Market. This facility had been inspected on 10/7/14 and at that time received an A grade. All plates are served in Styrofoam to go plates. Plates are received in sealed plastic bags inside of cardboard boxes and are stored in dry storage area off the floor. When prepared for the serving line the plates are stacked inverted. After a thorough inspection and interviewing the certified food manager I find this complaint not to be viable and consider the complaint unsubstantiated.
