Received complaint for a possible food borne illness involving a party of 4 who ate at the MS Juke Joint on Tues 4/28/2015. complainant stated that all in the party got sick to a degree but his wife became very ill due to her pregnancy and spent the night in the hospital. Took the information per the FBI Complaint questionnaire.

Received complaint of FBI and met with manager at the facility and did initial inspection. > Observed facility was clean and orderly. > Observed reach in stand up cooler temping deli turkey at 30 F; Pulled Pork 35F; Chili 35F. > Observed lower cooler temp cooked chicken wings 39F and potato salad 35F. > Observed walk in cooler temp chicken wings dated 4-25-15 at 41F; butter 41F > Observed facility does not serve grilled chicken but does serve a pulled chicken sandwich. Manager walked me through the steps for a pulled chicken. Whole chicken are used and chicken is brined for 1-2 hours before placing on grill to smoke until internal temp reaches 170-180 F (approx. 2 hrs cooking) then cooled and pulled and stored in cooler. > For fried chicken- chicken breast comes frozen from US foods and they are thawed 3-4 at a time and bread and fried to order until reaches 165F. > Smoked Tuna Dip is a Mainly Lobster product; Gulf Smoked Seafood made in Pensacola FL exp 8-20-15, Lot 10083, 5 lb container bar code 7375011080 > no follow up is required at this time.
