I live in Parkview Estates at 19 Parkview Drive, Ellisville, MS. All homes in our subdivision are required to have a spray septic system that is treated. My property joins a lot that belongs to Drew Smith who lives on the other side of the lot. His system is spraying however, it is not treated. His sprayers are very close to my house. The sewage smell is awful every single day. My grandchildren can?t play in our yard when his sprayers go off because of the smell. I?m very concerned about the toxic fumes we are subjected to everyday. Further, I?m concerned about the drain off of his sewage going into our soil as well as the large pond that our house, his house and two other houses sit on. I?m asking for any assistance you can give us with this matter. Please feel free to call me or come to our property. Thank you.

Just assigned to me in 03/17/2026
Pheo was in the area. No body was home at the time. It appears to be that the system is having some issues. I will be issuing out a letter to them along with a possible enforcement to give out on location once i can meet with property at stated address. I will have to confirm property ownership via the tax assessors office and then subsequently issue out certified letter to owner listed. Pending further investigation and enforcement.
03/17/2026 confirmation fo property owner via Jones County tax assessor office done this morning of the date mentioned above. Defendant is a Mr. Leon D Smith and Leeann N Smith. Letter for visit emailed to Jackson on current date under this notation. Letter sent out via certified mail. Awaiting property owners to make contact back with me. I will have an enforcement action ready to issue out them on location if issues are present and corrective action is needed.
