I?m an Inspector with the MS State Fire Marshal. While inspecting a propane issue at Auburn Grocery, I observed sewage being piped into a hole behind the building. It looks as though there may be some type of septic system there, but not working properly. Raw sewage leaving the building is not contained. This store store cooks and serves food also.

Investigation History
Hole appeared to be the septic tank. The lid was not fully intact and made it where you could see into the tank some. Septic should be being inspected as part of the food inspection.
