Complaint  This two-acre parcel is reportedly owned by County Supervisor Larry Havard and leased to a family. The George County Health Dept. has provided the OK to place four individual family dwellings on the front acre using 2 septic tanks and lines. Further, they authorized that two of the four dwellings on the front acre be connected to two former FEMA septic tanks on the rear acre (both of which have no septic field lines). The George County Health Department has additionally authorized that two new family dwellings with cement slabs be placed on the same rear acre already providing septic service to the front one acre via two tanks there. A third new septic tank with field lines was installed on this one acre about three months ago. This means there is a total of three septic tanks (and lines) on the front acre and three septic tanks on the rear acre (with another four not currently used). This is a TOTAL OF FIVE SEPTIC TANKS IN USE FOR FIVE INDIVIDUAL FAMILIES ON A TINY TWO-ACRE PARCEL THAT IS OPERATING AS A DE FACTO TRAILER PARK (now with a new dwelling being built for a new family). The George County Health Department is willfully placing the inhabitants of this small neighborhood in peril from disease. Not too far away from the rear acreage's three (in use) and four (not-in-use) rural septic processing systems is another resident's new water well (to the north). Is the State of Mississippi's Health Department also giving "blessing" to FIVE FAMILIES USING FIVE SEPTIC SYSTEMS ON A TINY TWO-ACRE PARCEL? Are you playing Russian Roulette with our health? Thank you. Kindly respond. Kim
